Meeting Days: Monday-Friday
Meeting Times: 4pm-9pm

Overview: Students will learn hands-on the electronic assembly processes involved in soldering and cabling. Students will learn the industry requirements for J Standard and IPC 610 as preparation for certification.

Objectives:  Prepare students for employment opportunities in Welding or as a pathway to a Welding Technology PSAV program. Demonstrate an understanding and apply work safety related to welding. Demonstrate basic understanding of GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW welding processes. Apply basic oxy-fuel gas cutting principles and practices.

Who Should Attend: Anyone with interested in a career in soldering and cabling.

Prerequisite Skills and/or Experience: Must be 18 years or older.

Instructor: Thomas Laub

US Marine Veteran, Welding Instructor/ CWI with 12 plus years’ experience in the welding industry. Tom has a broad knowledge of welding applications, procedures, specifications, industry codes and standards. He has experience with SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, OAC cutting & gauging, and PAC cutting. Tom has 9 years as an adult vocational instructor and is a proficient communicator with demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
