This is a working lunch course, consisting of 6 hours each day.  Please bring your lunch.

The Fundamental Payroll Certification is open to all those who wish to demonstrate a baseline of payroll competency. The FPC is designed for:

• Entry-level payroll professionals
• Sales professionals/consultants serving the payroll industry
• Systems analysts/engineers supporting payroll systems
• Payroll service provider-client representatives

You do not have to be an APA member to register for or take the FPC examination. As a first step, all candidates must download the FPC Candidate Handbook.

This course teaches the fundamental payroll calculations, completion of forms, and applications providing students with the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities required to maintain your organization’s payroll compliance while preventing costly penalties. 

This course is ideal for new payroll professionals, those who support the payroll industry, and those who are preparing for the FPC exam. 

The Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a certification credential for payroll beginners and service and support professionals with payroll knowledge. There are no payroll experience requirements to take this exam.

PAYTRAIN Level 1 is a prerequisite for the PAYTRAIN Level 2 course.
