Full course description

Course Type:  Online Learning with a Live Instructor.  Joining this online virtual classroom as easy as clicking a link. Look for an email notification from Canvas Conference (Big Blue Button) to attend the course.

Time: 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM

Days: Monday and Wednesday

Dates: 08/17/20 - 12/09/20 (no class 09/07/20 and 11/11/20)

Course Format:  This course is a hybrid training course that includes online self-study, online presentations, and interactive support with the instructor. 

Course Technology Requirements:  Desktop computer, laptop computer, Chromebook or tablet with internet connection and Chrome browser recommended.  Mobile phones may not be compatible with interactive course tools and modules.

DescriptionFoundations: Beginning in English is a language course designed for students who want to develop a foundation in academic English - listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills - in order to enter the EAP (English for Academic Purposes) program in Level 1 at HCC.  This course is for those who speak no English or very little English.
