Subject Matter Disclosure:  Although writing about sexual or violent related incidents is at no way discouraged from this course, it is something that needs to be addressed. Sex and violence shall be kept between the writer and the instructor and will not be work-shopped. If a piece does include sex or violence and the writer would like the instructor to look at the piece, please make arrangements with the instructor.

Description: Great Scott! Are you looking to get your creative juices flowing and let your imagination take stage? This class is designed for anyone who wants to immerse themselves into the world of creative writing. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced writer, this class will craft your skill and sharpen your writing.  This course is a beginning level introduction with a focus on creating lucrative material from the students whilst work shopping and learning the structures of creative writing. The course offers a glimpse into the world of fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry and screenwriting in hopes to educate the student in these fields.  

Instructor:  Gavin Scott is a Tampa native. He has a Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in creative writing from the University of South Florida and a Master’s in creative writing from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. Gavin is an avid lover of film and short stories. In his spare time, Gavin likes to hang with his three dogs Cocoa, Jack and Rory, and watches soccer.
