If you are getting ready for a career as an entry-level security (IT) professional or network security administrator, the CompTIA® Security+ Certification course is the first step in your preparation plus 2 years of experience in IT administration with a security focus is recommended. Security + will build on your existing user-level knowledge and experience with personal computer (PC) software and hardware and computer networking to present you with fundamental skills and concepts. In this course, you will acquire the essential skills, expertise and information needed to recognize and respond to threats, perform risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities.
