Description:  This interactive online course with a Live instructor is designed to be delivered for entry level individuals looking to start a new career in Data Management. This program begins with an introduction to Data Science using Microsoft Applications like Excel, Access and Power BI.  With more and more big data in today’s workplace, it is more important than ever that most employees need to analyze, digest, and explain data in a manageable way to anyone who needs to understand their organization’s complex information. Therefore, this program is designed for most employees that are tasked with developing and promoting data-driven business decision-making. It's no longer just for IT Specialists.

This course will validate your BI Reporting knowledge relevant to data analysis, data visualization, modeling, dashboards, and direct connectivity to data sources in Excel, Access and Power BI. In addition, the instructor will focus on the conceptual and practical aspects of Microsoft Exam Code PL-300 objectives. 

In addition, the program provides two Project Help consultations throughout the course for students that are grading 70% or below. The sessions will be available on a first come, first serve basis and you must register for the 45-minute session.

Pre-requisitesTo be set up for success, you should have some advanced knowledge of Excel and Table Database relationships. Candidates should have some knowledge of Power Query and be familiar with writing expressions using DAX.

Course Objective(s):

Upon completion of the course, the participant will have the ability to take a dataset and create reports, metrics, dashboards, analysis, and forecasts for managers, directors and higher ups.  Further, students will create their own small database processors for developing daily, weekly and or monthly data files which can be used in various formats.
