Course Format: This course includes online presentations, interactive support with the instructor, and in-person training labs during the class days and times. The 16-hour clinical experience will take place after the course end date. Clinical experience will also take place in an HCC provided local healthcare facility.
Course Technology Requirements:
Desktop computer, laptop computer, Chromebook or tablet with internet connection and Chrome browser recommended. Mobile phones may not be compatible with interactive course tools and modules.
Course Description:
This course is designed to give you the hands-on experience and skills needed for NHA national certification in just weeks through a combination of didactic hours and hands-on clinical training. Students will perform, per NHA requirements, 30 live venipunctures and 10 capillary punctures in both lab and clinical setting and learn how to process lab specimens.

Course Requirements for Clinical Training Experience:
Please Note: This course requires mandatory 30 venipunctures and 10 capillary sticks. Due to COVID-19, the clinical lab sites are not open to our students for phlebotomy at this time. You will complete all of the required sticks in lab on each other (30 venipunctures and 10 capillary). Personal Protection Equipment will be provided.
