Who should attend? ACLS training is intended for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of the hospital, including:
- Emergency Medical Technicians
- Staff in intensive care units and emergency or critical care departments
- Other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency
NOTE: You must pass the ACLS pre-course assessment to be able to take this course. You must bring a copy of your certificate showing that you passed this test. The ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. To be successful in any ACLS course, students should be able to identify ECG rhythms and should know pharmacology specific to cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies before beginning the course.

The ACLS course covers:
- ACLS algorithms
- Immediate post-cardiac-arrest care
- Airway management
- Rhythm recognition
- High-quality CPR
- 1-rescuer CPR AED
- Effective resuscitation team dynamics
- Science overview (update course)
- BLS and ACLS surveys
- Megacode treatment
- Identification and initial care of other life-threatening clinical situations (such as stroke).
Refunds, Cancellations & Substitutions
If you find it necessary to cancel your registration, call the ICCE office immediately at (813) 259-6010.
Notify us first by phone and then follow-up your cancellation by written notification using U.S. Mail, fax, e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org), or hand delivery. Written notice must be received 2 business days prior to the program date to be eligible for a refund. Please be advised that refunds may take up to three (3) weeks from the point at which a class is cancelled or a student's written notification of cancellation is received. Refunds will not be made after the start of any program. Participants may substitute another individual at any time. However, CEU credit will not be awarded for substitutions after any program has begun. We reserve the right to cancel activities that do not meet minimum enrollment levels or for other good cause. Activities cancelled by the College will have refunds processed in-full.
